I place the future in the Hands of God.

The past is gone; the future is not yet. Now am I freed from both. For what God gives can only be for good. And I accept but what He gives as what belongs to me.

When your future to God is given,

You take a stride near Heaven,

And release the world from prison

Where the Son of God was risen.

Now you stand at Heaven’s gate --

No need to hurry - you won’t be late --

And all you need to do is wait

For God to seal your Heavenly fate.

It is the most peaceful place

For you to escape the mortal race --

You can go at your own pace

To find your gift of grace.

God's gift is the present,

Where you begin your ascent
With no need to repent --
From Heaven it's sent.

For God is not distant --

He lives in each instant --

And He's always consistent,

Although we are resistant.

So put your future in God's hand

And you will finally understand --

You're not just a woman or a man,

But an instrument in God's Holy Band.

You started playing slowly,

But each moment of life is holy --

So put your trust in God solely,

And live in the present only --

Joined in Spirit we'll always be --

We're not just bodies, we are free.

The truth now I finally see:

I'm still as God created me.
