ACIM Daily Poem For Lesson #240, August 28th

Please Read ACIM Lesson #240

Fear is not justified in any form.

Fear is deception
And false perception --
It's not a projection
Of our true perfection.

What we fear in our minds
Will appear in our minds,
But we fail to see
It's unreality,
For what you think you see
Is something you can never be.

Still truth cannot be missed:
Though fear does not exist,
It does seem to persist,
And so must be dismissed --
Please ask God to assist!

Often fears are amplified,
But thinking must be rectified
If you think fear is justified --
And faith will have you sanctified,
As all the saints have testified.

Still all your dreams will shatter,
And all your hopes will scatter
When you let falsehood flatter,
For the forms of fear don't matter --

Let your heart not conceal
What you finally must feel:
No fear is real --
Before God we will kneel --

And to find inner peace
You must find your release --
God's Truth you will know
When you let fear go.
