ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson 59, February 28th

Please read ACIM Lesson 59 first:

NOTE:  This lesson is a review of lessons 41 - 45:
 (41) God goes with me wherever I go. (42) God is my Strength. Vision is His Gift. (43) God is my Source. I cannot see apart from Him. (44) God is the light in which I see. (45) God is the Mind with which I think.

God is with me wherever I go;
He knows whatever I know --

And whenever I'm alone,
He always leads me Home.

In His eyes I'm always perfect,

Because His Light I always reflect --
And my Soul He'll always protect.

With Him I'm always strong;

With Him I can't go wrong --

With Him I do belong.

He gave us holy sight,

So we see eternal light --
We're always shining bright.

My spirits get a lift,
And I'm no longer adrift,
Because Vision is His gift.

He always makes me want to change,
So my sight for Vision I exchange --
Now this world won't look so strange.

Our strength is God - He is our force --

We come from God -- He is our Source --
We live the law He will enforce --
He fills our hearts with love -- of course.

We can only be
What He wants us to be;
We can only see
What He wants us to see;
I want to be a part of Him,
But cannot see apart from Him.

He is our only sight;
He is our only might;
He gives us holy light,
And helps us do what's right.

You can't take this away from me:

Part of God we'll always be --
God's the Light in which we see.

Through His Grace we're brought to God --
So even if we've fought with God,
We're always in the heart of God.

God and I are always linked,
So we're always in sync --
From Him I never shrink --
God is the mind with which I think.

ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson 58, February 27th

Please read ACIM Lesson 58 first:

NOTE:  Today's lesson is a review of lessons 36 - 40:
(36) My holiness envelops everything I see. (37) My holiness blesses the world. (38) There is nothing my holiness cannot do. (39) My holiness is my salvation. (40) I am blessed as a Son of God.

God's Gift has been given --
We're already forgiven --
The world we perceive
Is the world we believe.

The truth about me
Is that I am Holy,
Like each and every
Thing that I see.

This world our holiness blesses --
Like God's own gentle caresses --
All of us are truly blessed --
You and me and all the rest.

God's Light shines on everyone --
We're each His Chosen Son . . .

So let's put on the shelves
False ideas about our selves --
You are my love, you are my friend,
Your holy power has no end --

In fact this thought about you

   Is true:
There's nothing your holiness

   Cannot do.

Given this new understanding,
Freedom we're now demanding --

It's taken about a billion years
For us to forgive a billion fears.

The world of illusion and pain we built,

Because we believe in our own guilt --
Let's have a holy conversation --
Holiness is our true Salvation.

It's time we understood
That we are only good --
Sacred light is our very essence:
We shine with holy luminescence,
And we've always withstood every test --
As Sons of God we're always blessed.

ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson 57, February 26th

Please read ACIM Lesson 57 first:

This lesson is a review of lessons 31 - 35:
(31) I am not the victim of the world I see. (32) I have invented the world I see. (33) There is another way of looking at the world. (34) I could see peace instead of this. (35) My mind is part of God's. I am very holy.

I know one thing about you and me:
We are not victims of the world we see.
In fact we have a different role --
We are the masters -- we're in control.

We can get rid of earthly pains

When we break our earthly chains --
They exist just in our minds,
In the illusion we call time.

We're living in our dreams

Created by our schemes,
But we were created free,
So let's wake up and see
God's True Reality.

The Truth we must declare today:
There has to be a better way --
It should not make us nervous
To give our lives new purpose.

God in us we must liberate,

So let us never hesitate
To accept our Heavenly fate:
We are destined to be great.

Let's see peace instead of war --

That's what this world is for --
We're the sacred tools of God,
So must enforce the rules of God.

Divinity we can bring

To every living thing:
When I forgive what I see,
Forgiveness comes right back to me.

So now I truly see,

That now I'm truly free,
And also truly holy,
For now I love God only.

ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson 56, February 25th

Please read ACIM Lesson 56 first:

This lesson is a review of lessons 26 - 30:
 (26) My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability. (27) Above all else I want to see. (28) Above all else I want to see things differently. (29) God is in everything I see. (30) God is in everything I see because God is in my mind.

Since God has your back
When you're under attack,

You need not be alarmed
When you think you've been harmed.

And it's not being gullible
To think you're invulnerable,
Since you don't need purity
For God's gift of security.

So treat yourself with charity --
Mistakes are not a rarity --
For now and posterity,
You have God's singularity.

All you can see
Is all you can be --
God's in you and God's in me --
This is how it has to be:
God's in everything we see.

From ocean depths to mountain ranges,
From lakes to highway interchanges,
God's Love is real and never changes.

When we see with God's own Sight
We see God's Love burn bright,
All through the darkest night,
In old age and in youth
God's Mind remembers truth.

I know that we're all one together;
I know that we are one forever;
As if creation just began,
I now remember who I Am.

I want to see with eyes divine,
To see beyond the veils of time,
To see with God's Eternal Mind,
To see with vision made anew --
That you're in me and I'm in you.

ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson 55, February 24th

Please read ACIM Lesson 55 first:

NOTE: This lesson is a review of lessons 21 - 25:
 (21) I am determined to see things differently. (22) What I see is a form of vengeance. (23) I can escape from the world I see by giving up attack thoughts. (24) I do not perceive my own best interests. (25) I do not know what anything is for.

I am determined to be
Completely safe and free,
So truly I must see
This world differently.

My earthly dreams are so unreal,
This I know and sometimes feel --

Whenever I perceive God,
I finally believe God.

We see a world of death,

   Breathing our last breath,
But we need to make a change --
   This world is just deranged.

What we see as the norm
   Is the vengeance form --

Attack thought? Give it up,
I you want to live it up.

It's not a world of lack,
So God's course I will tack,
And I'll never go back,
With no need to attack.

I want to know what's best for me,
But only God sees the best in me --
Did He make this world as a test for me?

Forgiveness is the love we make --

Forgiveness is the gift we take --
Forgiveness gives us peace and joy --
An army of love does it deploy.

God's Love is what we never lose --
He's made us an offer we can't refuse --
Forgiveness is something we have to choose --
Failure to do this, we can't excuse.

If we see this world as frightening
Then insanity's grip is tightening,
But if we see the world as brightening,
Then our burdens will be lightening.

I think I know the truth,
And I think I have the proof,
But I must say it once more:
I don't know what anything is for.

ACIM Daily Lesson Poem for Lesson 54, February 23rd

Please read ACIM Lesson 54 first:
NOTE:  This lesson is a review of lessons 16 - 20:
(16) I have no neutral thoughts. (17) I see no neutral things. (18) I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my seeing. (19) I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my thoughts. (20) I am determined to see.

Our thoughts live in a tower
Of tremendous power --
If what we think isn't true,
Those thoughts will make us blue.

All we see in time
Is created in our minds --
Merely representations
Of mental projections.

There is no neutrality
When thoughts make reality --
If my thoughts I control
I'll again be made whole,
And if I reject false thoughts,
God will correct my thoughts.

And even if these thoughts are insane
What we think is never in vain --
No thought is ever rejected,
Because we're all connected --
Even when we sit at home
We're never truly alone.

So say it once again:
No one is an island --
The Law of One governs all life --
Know this and remove all strife.

We have a divine and holy obligation
To awaken from dreams of separation --
Then our real thoughts may awaken.

The best things you can give to me
Are thoughts of God's Reality,
Which will completely change the world I see.

So now we can behold
A truth that was foretold:
What God does to us
He also does THROUGH us.

Now look upon what God has done:
His Will and my will are now one --
Fear and loss have been replaced
With His abundance, love, and grace.

ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson 53, February 22nd

Please read ACIM Lesson 53 first:

NOTE: This lesson is a review of lessons 11 - 15:
(11) My meaningless thoughts are showing me a meaningless world. (12) I am upset because I see a meaningless world. (13) A meaningless world engenders fear. (14) God did not create a meaningless world. (15) My thoughts are images that I have made.

Thoughts create insanity

In our world of inanity,
And when I hear bells ring
They don't mean a thing --
I listen to their peal
But they still seem so unreal.

It makes me mad
To think the world's gone bad,
But God did not give us
A world made of chaos --

He's always intervening

To give our lives meaning --
God's Thoughts are my guide to seeing --
His reality is my guide for being.

Do we have to stay here
In a world made of fear?

Can we now even trust
This world made of rust?

Should we try to escape it
Because God didn't make it?

Should we leave here and go roam
Where perfection is at home?

This is only a world we've projected,
Where our thoughts have been reflected --
It's a world of decay and dross,
Of suffering and of loss --

A world that causes us pain

Because our thoughts are insane.

If we want to do what's right,
We have to live in God's Light.

We all know of course
That God is our Source --
We have meaning in His mind,
And he's inside us all the time.

Every living hour
We learn God's power --
It's time to decide
With Him to abide.

From God I've strayed,
When I was afraid,
But with Him I've prayed,
And with Him I've stayed --

My mind is in shade,
And thoughts seem to fade,
But they cannot degrade:
They're only images I've made.

ACIM Daily Lesson Poem 52 for February 21st

Please read ACIM Lesson 52 first:

NOTE:  This lesson is a review of lessons 6 - 10:
(6) I am upset because I see something that is not there. (7) I see only the past. (8) My mind is preoccupied with past thoughts. (9) I see nothing as it is now. (10) My thoughts do not mean anything.

We remember the stories
Of our past glories,
But things we look upon
Are not really gone.

When we see what's true

   We see what's best --
If you live in the present,

   You're truly blessed.

When my world is built on confusion,
My reality becomes an illusion --

Although I see things that don't exist,
The Truth of God I always resist --
Things that upset me are not really there,
But the
Love of God is everywhere.

Why am I pre-occupied
With things that have died?
I've tried and tried,
I've wept and cried,
Yet God has only sighed.

In His care He has kept me,
As I cling to what's empty --

Being the subject of derision
Has cost me true Vision --

Therefore I must choose

What God wants me to see,
And what I choose to see

   Will be
      His Reality.

But I'm not a debater
   Nor an instigator --
I'm merely a co-creator.

Reality is not perverse,
   And could be much worse:
My thoughts make up my Universe.

ACIM Daily Poem For Lesson 51, February 20th

Please read ACIM Lesson 51 first:

NOTE:  This lesson is a review of lessons 1 - 5: (1) Nothing I see means anything. (2) I have given everything I see all the meaning that it has for me. (3) I do not understand anything I see. (4) These thoughts do not mean anything. They are like the things I see. (5) I am never upset for the reason I think.

If I see nothing,
But judge everything,
My life has no meaning
Like a bird that can't sing.

It seems so demeaning
When thoughts have no meaning --

Will my heart stop beating,
And will I stop breathing?

If I'm truly going to Be,
Then I must learn to see
That judgment has no validity,
And my world has no reality –

It's all meaningless to me --
I've given all the things I see
The meaning that they have for me.

This meaning I'll withstand,
Because I am a simple man,
And never really understand
What's real and what is not --
Or even my own mistakes of thought.

Mistakes are like the things I see,
But things are not my enemy --
When this I finally recognize,
I will see with holy eyes --
And become a little wise.

If I will let God in,
Then I will have no Sin --
I'll see with holy vision,

And finish my holy mission.

When I let God's Love fill me,

My own thoughts won't kill me --
So I must be finally willing
To release thoughts that are killing.

My beliefs have taken me for a ride
But my anger's no longer justified --

When I think with God I really think,
But usually my thoughts just stink --

When I see with God I never blink,
And I'm never upset for the reason I think.

I am sustained by the Love of God.

When everything on Earth has passed,
And days of our lives have gone by fast,
Remember: it's the Love of God that lasts.

When we love God
   We're sustained;
When we're above God
   We are chained.

Your money won't protect you
   From people who reject you,
And the world won't respect you,
   No matter who elects you.

Let your voice raise
   To sing God's Praise --
Feel His warm rays
   Fill all of your days.

Everything you feel
With your body's not real --
What you think is ideal
   Is an earthly ordeal.

It's time to let go
Of chains of the ego --
Let your love light glow,
   And your true Self show.

You don't need to seek a thrill,
Or to take a pill --
Let your mind become still
   And follow God's Will.

Sing God's Melody --
   He wants your fidelity --
So give up your sterility,
   To create with His fertility
The world He meant to be.

With God's Love I'm always free --
With Him I have serenity --

If illusions I see,

   And ego chains me
While falsehood pains me:
The Love of God sustains me.

God's Voice speaks to me
all through the day.

We don't really have a choice
But to listen to God's Voice --

He's always at our core,
And leads us to His shore --

His Voice we can't ignore,
But listening's not a chore --
He always gives us more,

And tells us what our lives are for.

He wants you to hear it,
And never fear it --
The voice of your spirit.

He is our missing link --
He leads us to the brink --
His Voice makes us think --
We hear His Truth, and never blink.

We need never fear Him --
We're always near Him,
And always hear Him.

His Voice is here to stay,
And will never go away,
So we'll never go astray --

He speaks to us in every way --
He speaks to us through every day.

ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson 48, February 17th

Please read ACIM Lesson 48 first:

There is nothing to fear.

Do you want illusions

To be true,
Or do you want to see

The real you?

When you look inside of you,
God doesn't hide from you --
He doesn't take sides --
He simply abides.

There's no cause for alarm --
We're now safe from harm --
It's not an act,

   Because it's a fact --
God has your back.

When God defends me
Who is against me?
He gives me security,
And endless serenity --

There's no cause to hurry,
And no cause for worry.

From January to December,
Till the last dying ember,
Let us always remember:

God's never distant --

He's with us each instant --
And it's no disgrace
To let His Strength
Take it's place.

This truth you can hear:
"God is always near" --
And because He is here,
There is nothing to fear.

ACIM Daily Poem For Lesson 47, February 16th

Please read ACIM Lesson 47 first:

God is the strength in which I trust.

I have a problem, and I can't solve it,
So I'll call on God to resolve it --
I feel so sad and lonely,
When I trust in myself only.

I wish I wasn't soft and weak --
I feel so dumb I cannot speak --
I wish that I could deal with "it"
And I didn't feel inadequate.

I wish answers would come to me
And I didn't feel anxiety
Over things I cannot see --
It's such a lack of piety --
Well, luckily, for me,
God is not rejecting me,
Instead He is protecting me.

With God I have affinity
For all the Love He put in me --
Without Him there's no Unity,
No strength, and no divinity.

So with Him is the only place
Where I know I'll always feel safe.

As I scrape off my rust,
And clean up my dust,
Patience is a must.
I feel no disgust --
I simply readjust --
It's Heaven or Bust --
God is the strength in which I trust.

Please read ACIM Lesson 46 first:

God is the Love in which I forgive.

Here's a thought that will set you free:
God has condemned neither you nor me,
And that is why we are holy and free,
For now and all of eternity.

Because we have condemned each other,
We must now forgive each brother --
The person you've condemned is YOU,
So forgive yourself – start life anew.

We're forgiven because of Love,
Which is God's gift from above,
And love continues unabated --
Love undoes what fear created.

Love is abundant --
You don't have to conserve it,
And with forgiveness,

You don't have to deserve it.

When I love myself I'm blessed
With more love than I had guessed,
And I don't say this in jest --
Love passes every test.

When we truly see God
We can truly be God,
And God's always near,
To free us from fear.

So here's the truth we must see --
The truth that will set us free:
In God's Care we'll always be,
From now throughout eternity.

Love is the greatest gift we can give,

So love yourself and really live:
God is the love in which we forgive.

God is the Mind With Which I Think.

I think I think, and think I feel,
But none of that is real --
If I want Truth in my mind,
Then God's Thoughts I must find --

It's such a grind
Being blind
All the time.

When I see God's Truth
   My eyes start blinking --
When I think God's Thoughts
   My mind starts thinking.

With God we're all One --
Each person is God's Son --
From this truth we can't run --
The New Age has begun.

To fight God is impossible,
For he decides what's possible --
When on His Path we cannot fail
To be free from illusion's jail.

When I'm in pain, God is caring,
Even if my faults are glaring,

For all my thoughts He is sharing.

He only does what He wants to do,
And He wants us to want
To do it too --
For only He decides what's true.

From Heavenly Duties I don't shrink --

From the cup of knowing, now I drink,
For God is the Mind with which I think.

ACIM Daily Poem For Lesson 44, February 13th

Please read ACIM Lesson 44 first:

God is the light in which I see.

We're not on a lark
Or a walk in the park,
And the Truth is stark --
We can't see in the dark.

All things are bright
When we feel God's Might,
And see with His Sight --
But we can't see His Light
If we're living in the night.

The eternal truth for you and me
Is the only truth to set us free:
"God is the Light in which we see."

The act of forgiving
Everything living
Is part of God's Giving.

We think we see outside of us,
And this creates false pride in us,
But God's Light is inside of us.

Every person and nation
Are part of God's Creation,
So it's time for jubilation.

The Light in which we'll always be
Is the Light which sets us free --
It's the Light of our true identity --
It's the Light of God in which we see.

ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson 43, February 12th

Please first read ACIM Daily Lesson #43

God is my Source.
I cannot see apart from Him.

It's time we acknowledge
The limits of knowledge --
Since human perception is unreal,
Our perception we must heal.

The function
Of perception
Is restoration
Of Salvation.

Now we can dare
To be aware
We're without sin
And live within
Heaven only --
We're truly holy.

We have eternal knowing --
Our holiness is growing,
The Love of God is flowing.

From a holy chalice we drink with God;
The Holy Spirit is our link with God;
With knowledge we shall think with God.

Let's forgive all others,
Our selves, and our brothers --
We spend our time with God,
And live within the mind of God,
So see with God's Mind
That you are divine.

Apart from God we cannot see --
Apart from God we cannot be --
But with His Vision we can see
Our own divinity,
For all Eternity.

ACIM Daily Poem For Lesson #42, February 11th

Please first read ACIM Daily Lesson #42:

God is my strength. Vision is His gift

God has gone to every length

To show me His Strength,
And in every hour
He shows me His power.

With inner eye I now can see

All things are as they are meant to be --
If you think you've had your fill of God,
Remember your life is the Will of God.

Nothing we do is random --

We walk with God in tandem --
Every second that we live
Is blessed by what God gives.

You don't have to believe it,

Just try to conceive it,
And say you'll receive it.

You have the blessings God gives;
You are the holiness God lives;
No longer must you fight --
Just relax, and see God's Light:
You now see with His Sight.

With God we will always atone --

With God we are never alone --
And it doesn't matter where we roam:
With God we are always at home.

ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson 41, February 10th

Please Read ACIM Lesson #41

God Goes With Me Wherever I Go

It's time you ought to know --
Your worries you must let go --
And it's time to get in the flow --
God's with you wherever you go.

You know you're not apart from God,
For all time you're a part of God,
And it's easy to do your part for God --
So make a brand-new start for God.

Since you and God are joined together,

Joy and peace are yours forever --

It's true, of course,

   You have 'the Force'
To end remorse --
   God is your Source.

Our human ills
 Aren't cured with pills
  Or earthly thrills --

You need not be clever
 To pull God's Lever,
  And end pain forever --

If ever you feel
 That things aren't real,
  Ask God to heal --

God's Love is the same
 As the soothing rain
  Which ends all pain --

So it's time for you to know
These words are not for show:
God goes with you wherever you go.
