ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson #196, July 15th

Please Read ACIM Lesson #196

It can be but myself I crucify.

The truth you can't deny,
And God you can't defy,
But how do you know you can't fly
If you don't even try?

We don't see eye to eye,
And we don't want to die,
But now we must testify:
Only ourselves we crucify.

You are a holy gem,
There is no 'us and them'
And if your Self you condemn
You live your life in mayhem.

Don't live by judging other people,
Don't build your church without a steeple,
Don't think that you're full of sin
While waiting for your life to begin.

Life is more than just a test --
It's where you must do what's best --
So it's time we start believing
That loving is conceiving,
And giving is receiving.

What we do unto others
We do unto ourselves,
If we give love unto others
We give love to ourselves.

When you send others healing
Your fate you'll be sealing,
And true love you'll be feeling.

When each other we heal
Earth’s laws we repeal
And God’s Love we feel
For only It is real.

See yourself in God's Reflection --
It's the light of your resurrection,
And the end of our separation --
It gives us final liberation,
And true peace in our salvation.

Mercy protects --
It never rejects --
Our souls it connects,
And mistakes it corrects.

We have so far to go,
But you are not your ego,
For ego is truth-less
And it’s goals are ruthless --
The truth it aborts
And your life it distorts.

The ego no longer will deceive
When it’s lies no longer we believe --
True freedom is thrilling,
But we must be willing.

Forgiveness and love will open all doors --
The peace of salvation at last will be yours
When holy light your soul restores,
And the Child of God your heart adores.
