ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson #192, July 11th

Please Read ACIM Lesson #192

I have a function God would have me fill.

Hear God's Voice
And make the choice
   To rejoice --

Now's the time to do His Will --
He has a function you must fill:
No need to climb a hill
      Or take a pill,
      Or drink some swill
      Or rob the till,
      Or pay a bill
      Or climb a sill,
      Or shoot to kill
      Or seek a thrill --

   At least until
      You learn to chill --
   But know this still:
      You'll always do God's Will,
   And His function you will
         Always fill.

In forgiving,
   Which is living,
The truth is done
   For every one.

Don't be afraid --
   The body's a teaching aid --
Aside it will be laid,
   Its welcome over-stayed,
      When it's time to trade.

If the body were your home,
   You'd be a dog with a bone,
But by finding release
   You find inner peace.

Our greatest need
   Is to be freed,
In word and deed --
   You are the seed.

You're growing
   And flowing --
God is all-knowing --
   In His Light you're glowing.

Your true identity
   Is liberty and purity --
      It's what you'll always be.
And when you're finally free,
   God's Light you'll always see.
