My happiness and my function are one.

Happiness is not something you achieve --
Happiness is something you retrieve.
So don't be sad and blue --
God made happiness for you!

You'll know you're right
When you channel God's Light --
When you look with God's Seeing,
You'll have a sense of well-being.

We don't have to pretend to love,
Since now we can extend our love --
Forgive yourself and your fellow man,
And become the loving person you can.

Get rid of your resentment --
Fill up with your contentment --
Your happy life can now begin,
When you let the Holy Spirit in.

Other things I think I see,

But happiness God has given me --

Happiness is true holiness,

And the end of loneliness.

The intent of the ego is evil and to deceive,
But Love is all He gives, and all we can receive;
Ego attacks but Spirit does not respond --
The illusions of the ego are too far gone.

We need no instruction
To make this deduction:
Happiness is our function.

Being happy is the way God made you --
Happiness is not something He forbade you --
So you better make it snappy --
God wants you to be happy!
