ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson #64, March 5th

Please Read ACIM Daily Lesson #64

Let me not forget my function.

Here is something to ponder:
Love's not something to squander --
Temptation is not where to wander.

If I could remember

   with God's Memory,
And remember

   all I see,
I could remember

    my true Identity,
And be the person

   I'm meant to be.

But what our eyes

   think they see
Are sins that aren't

   what they seem to be.

This world distracts you,
    In ways that impact you,
And seems to attack you
   No matter what you do.

Others will hide from you
   Your purpose inside of you,
But it's time for rejection
   Of your Last Temptation.

You need never falter --
   Your body's God's Altar.
Don't start abusing it --
Holy Spirit has a use for it.
Just make it a temple,
   And life will seem simple.

Since its inception
   Our perception
      Has been a deception.

We think we've been sinning
   Since the beginning,
But our hearts are yearning
   For spiritual learning,
And our lives are driven
   To be forgiven.

Forgiveness you must give
   And demand,
If you want to live
   In the Promised Land.

Since Creation,
   Our obligation
Has been to find Salvation
   In our temptation.

Don't worry
   There's no hurry --
      You are worthy.

You will now see
   That being happy
Is your destiny --
   It's meant to be
For All eternity.
