Please Read ACIM Lesson #322
I can give up what was never real.
The only goal of the human race
Is to open our eyes and see God's Face,
But we hide this truth in powerful dreams,
In false desires, and our silly schemes.
We abide in God and He abides in us --
He gives us everything with no fuss --
We must give up things that are not real,
For infinite grace and the power to heal.
The idea of sacrifice is a human delusion,
Caused by conflict, fear and confusion,
So I must give up my precious illusions
To receive God's Love in great profusion.
The God in us shall never die:
We have angel wings and now must fly --
Safety and warmth and love divine --
Eternal happiness beyond all time.
Don't share in dreams of separation
That will just lead you to frustration --
We are joined as One reality,
Not separate in false duality.
This is how God has seen us:
There is no gap between us --
To think so will demean us.
It's no sacrifice
to give up this dream --
What we see with our eyes
is not what it seems.
